Professional background
"Know all the theories, master all the techniques, but as you touch a human soul be just another human soul."

A bit of my history and experience

I am a dedicated Psychologist with almost 30 years of experience working across diverse psychological fields, the age ranges and in both public non-for-profit sectors.

My journey began at the age of 13 when I developed a passion for psychology, leading me to pursue a degree in my country of birth, The Netherlands. My early professional experience consisted of research roles at Latrobe University and the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne. Expanding my expertise, I have worked extensively in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and with NGOs supporting at-risk families and children. My conscious decision to transition into adult psychological field has provided me with a comprehensive understanding of the psychological needs across all age groups. The last 14 years I have been in successful (group) private practices including my own.

My Approach

I have a warm, approachable, and compassionate demeanour fostering a non-judgmental environment that encourages healing and growth. I have a strong interest in working with individuals who have experienced significant adverse life events or people who find themselves stuck, lost, confused with feelings of, worry, anger, sadness or any the multiple tens of different emotions we can experience.
Having, at times, walked a road less travelled in my own life, this has enriched me with a deep understanding of diverse backgrounds, allowing me to connect effectively with clients from all walks of life.
